RICHFIELD, Minnesota – Richfield Bloomington Honda has literally taken the dealership experience to new heights.
It opened its new 165,000-square-foot facility in mid-September, using every inch of its 2-acre property, including the ramp-accessible roof where it parks nearly 150 cars.
The building spotlights another 10 models, including the 2016 Honda Pilot and HR-V, in a third-floor window display, which General Manager Tim Carter calls its “jewelry box” – an elevated glass window case.
“That side of the building is visible from the highway and the vehicles look like Matchbox cars and that draws a lot of attention,” Carter told Edmunds.
On the opposite side, its showroom pushes out close to the sidewalk, allowing passers-by to window shop.
“It gives the building that small-town feel and often walkers will stop by to check out the lineup they see in the window,” he said.
The entire second floor is a climate-controlled showroom for its pre-owned cars.
“I believe we’ll be a tourist attraction, with people coming in just to check out this unique building,” Carter said.
