HERNDON, Virginia – The 2016 Volkswagen CC sedan gets a new lower starting price with the debut of the new CC 2.0T Trend model.
The 2016 CC 2.0T Trend with a six-speed manual transmission is priced at $32,435, including an $865 destination charge, reflecting a $1,425 price decrease over the previous base model.
The Trend model is equipped with bi-xenon headlights with daytime running lights, LED taillights, V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, 12-way heated and power adjustable front seats and a rearview camera.
The 2016 CC is on sale now at Volkswagen dealerships.
In addition, VW added two new R-Line models to the 2016 lineup.
The CC 2.0 R-Line Executive model is priced at $38,685, including shipping. Details include a six-speed DSG automatic transmission, 18-inch Montauk aluminum-alloy wheels, black exterior trim, leather seating surfaces, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof.
The CC 2.0T R-Line Executive with Carbon also is priced at $38,685, including shipping. It includes all of the above features, except for ambient lighting, and adds Carbon leather seating surfaces and carbon decor.
The top-of-the-line CC 3.6L VR6 4Motion Executive is priced at $45,220, including shipping, reflecting a $780 price increase over the previous top model.
New driver-assistance features are added for the new model year. The 3.6L VR6 4Motion Executive model gets adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and lane-departure warning systems.
Key CC competitors include the Ford Fusion, Mazda 6 and Mercedes-Benz CLA250.
