CYPRESS, California – The face-lifted 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer compact sedan starts at $18,405, including an $810 destination charge, reflecting a $200 price increase over the 2015 model.
On sale at Mitsubishi dealerships this fall, the 2016 Lancer features a new exterior design and an updated list of standard features on the base model.
They include a Fuse Hands-free Link System, automatic climate control, foglights, alloy wheels and new LED daytime running lights.
The top-of-the-line 2016 Lancer GT is priced at $24,305, including shipping.
Mitsubishi’s previous Lancer Evolution and Ralliart models have been discontinued.
The base 2016 Lancer is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine linked to a five-speed manual transmission.
Two new exterior colors are Diamond White Pearl and Alloy Silver.
Key Lancer competitors include the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus and Honda Civic.
Edmunds says: The 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer gets a modest price increase, but it will still shape up as a good value for many car shoppers in this segment.
