2016 Mini Cooper Clubman Priced at $24,950

WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey – The redesigned 2016 Mini Cooper Clubman wagon will arrive at Mini dealerships in January starting at $24,950 for the base Cooper Clubman model, Mini announced on Friday.

The top-of-the-line Cooper S Clubman model starts at $28,500.

Both prices include an $850 destination charge.

Standard equipment on the base model includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift lever, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition and 12-color ambient interior lighting.

The Clubman Cooper S model adds automatic headlights, halogen foglights, chrome-tipped dual exhaust outlets, a unique front fascia with hexagonal grille mesh and carbon-black leatherette upholstery.

The five-passenger Clubman now competes with the Audi A3 and Volkswagen Golf.

Buyers will get a choice of two engines at the Clubman’s U.S. launch. A 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine is standard. It delivers 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The Clubman Cooper S comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 189 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers seeking a larger Mini with an affordable price tag will appreciate a 2016 Clubman with a starting price under $25,000.
