AUBURN HILLS, Michigan – With a base price of $17,690, including a $995 destination charge, the 2016 Dodge Dart compact sedan is $200 pricier than last year’s model.
This is a carryover model with minimal changes for the new model year. They include new options to help the Dart stand apart from a long list of competitors, including the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Kia Forte and Mazda 3.
New Dart features include an optional Sport Appearance Hood on GT and SXT models with the Rallye or Blacktop packages. It is priced at $495.
The popular 18-inch Hyper Black wheels are now standard on the Dart GT model.
Two new exterior colors are TorRed and Go Mango.
The base 2016 Dart SE is equipped with a 160-horsepower 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
Edmunds says: The minimal price increase on the 2016 Dodge Dart should not deter car shoppers.
