BRATTLEBORO, Vermont – By giving, The Auto Mall is receiving.
The Buick, Chevrolet and GMC dealership has found through its first-ever Christmas Countdown Giveaway that by awarding daily prizes, it increases both its showroom and Facebook traffic, as well as its visibility in the community.
The giveaway, a contest co-hosted with radio station 96.7 WTSA-FM, directs patrons to the dealership’s Facebook page or showroom daily to fill out a short registration form.
The listener whose name is randomly drawn at 7:15 a.m. receives that day’s prize, plus the previous prizes from every day prior since the contest began November 30. The lucky final winner will be announced on December 24.
“The radio station plays this song in the style of The Twelve Days of Christmas to tell the winner the prizes for the day,” Bob Gammon, Auto Mall’s general manager, told Edmunds.
Gammon said the contest has received 2,000 entries and 350 Facebook page likes.
“We’re only half way through it and I already know we’re going to host it again,” Gammon said.
He likes that when guests visit to retrieve the prizes or fill out an entry, they see both the product in the showroom, as well as the charity work the dealership is doing. A 2015 Chevrolet truck is parked inside filled with Toys for Tots and The Auto Mall is raising funds for a disabled-veterans housing program.
“We like to give back to the community and the giveaway creates awareness of our store and how we help those in need,” Gammon said.
