AUBURN HILLS, Michigan – The 2016 Jeep Patriot compact SUV is on sale now at Jeep dealerships, with a starting price of $18,590, including a $995 destination charge.
The base 2016 Patriot Sport model is $700 more expensive than the 2015 model, but Fiat-Chrysler notes there is added standard content.
Standard equipment on the Sport model includes Uconnect handsfree and SiriusXM radio. Automatic headlights are added as standard on the 2016 Patriot Latitude model.
For 2016, two models of the Patriot are available: Sport and Latitude.
The 2016 Patriot Latitude is priced at $23,190, including shipping, also up $700 versus the 2015 model.
Mojave Sand is a new exterior color for 2016.
The base Jeep Patriot Sport is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 158 horsepower. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Key Patriot competitors include the Kia Sportage, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and Subaru Forester.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers will pay a bit more to get into a 2016 Jeep Patriot, but they get added content and a simplified lineup.
