2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition To Arrive at Dealers This Spring
|
LAS VEGAS – The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition, a special model aimed at outdoors enthusiasts, will arrive at Chevrolet dealerships in the spring, GM said on Tuesday.
The Silverado Realtree is an affinity marketing deal between Chevrolet and Realtree, a camouflage brand. The special model debuted here at the SHOT Show, a trade event.
Chevrolet unveiled the concept version of the Silverado Realtree Edition at the 2015 SEMA Show. Following “overwhelming response” from consumers, Chevrolet decided to launch a production version of the truck.
Spun off the Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 crew cab, the Silverado Realtree is designed to compete against sporty versions of the Ford F-150, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra.
Exterior camo graphics and antler-themed logos dominate the cosmetic treatment. Other details include special blackout trim, black Chevy bow ties, off-road assist steps and black 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires.
The special model also includes the Z71 Off-Road package. It includes Rancho monotube shocks, hill descent control, an underbody shield and all-terrain tires.
Pricing will be announced closer to the truck’s launch date.
Chevrolet said the special model is “personalized for the outdoorsman.”
Edmunds says: Chevrolet locks horns with the competition, courtesy of this special version of the popular Silverado pickup truck.
