READING, Pennsylvania – Fun and games – even a treat or two – are all part of the winning formula at Savage Hyundai when it comes to rewarding its customers.
The dealership is setting up a prize wheel on Halloween as an incentive to stop by the showroom, filled with such goodies as a 2016 Tucson SUV and the compact Accent.
Customers who buy a car on October 31 can spin the wheel to win whatever prize they land on, including a $500 gift card, a Sony PlayStation 4, a flat-screen TV and more.
Those who bring a child dressed in costume receive a second spin on the wheel and Halloween candy, General Manager Jerry Seidel told Edmunds.
While this is the first Halloween with the prize wheel, Seidel introduced it four years ago on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
“We try to make it as fun as we can and people remember us for that,” Seidel said.
In August, Savage Hyundai hosted a skeeball competition for any customer who bought a car in July. The winner walked away with $10,000.
In March, a basketball free-throw contest let hoopsters take $100 off a final car price for each free throw made and a shootout gave another $10,000 to the winner.
“We’ve always tried to give back to our community and these fun events are one way we do it,” Seidel said.
Edmunds says: Savage Hyundai has its eye on the prize when it comes to customer loyalty.
