ROCHESTER, New Hampshire – The 2016 Ram 1500 Express Regular Cab parked inside Poulin Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram’s showroom is expected to be the most sought-after transportation on site.
The truck is the drop-off spot for the dealership’s second annual Stuff-a-Truck Food and Clothing Drive to support nearby Gerry’s Food Pantry and the Community Clothing Shop.
It’s collecting non-perishable food items, household goods and gently used clothing through November 25.
“We’ve already had one query from a customer interested in the truck soon after we moved it inside for the food and clothing drive,” Lisa Edwards, social media coordinator for Poulin, told Edmunds.
While the goal of the drive is to help the food pantry as much as possible, hosting such a charity can lead to car sales and increase community awareness about the dealership.
“Any time we have an event, there is always chatter,” Edwards said.
Last year’s drive took in so many donations, it filled a 2015 Ram 1500 and part of the 2015 Dodge Challenger next to it.
“We’ll be posting on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Pinterest, along with doing some radio ads, to try to increase last year’s collection,” Edwards said.
Edmunds says: The drive to help members of the community may also drive sales.
