GAINESVILLE, Georgia – Milton Martin Toyota Scion found a way to stand out after leaving its home of 37 years and moving to a new location – it opened a Chick-fil-A caf in its customer lounge.
The breakfast and lunch spot has many of Chick-fil-A’s signature chicken sandwiches and salads available to guests and employees, said Emily Hayes, the dealership’s advertising and public-relations director.
“Customers are really impressed when they walk in the new building and then notice the Chick-fil-A and appreciate its convenience,” Hayes told Edmunds.
While the dealership has always provided complimentary snacks and drinks, the quick-service caf makes it easier to enjoy a full meal, especially now that the building has an outdoor lounge made homey with a television and fireplace.
“The caf is run by the Chick-fil-A across the street and is considered a remote location,” Hayes said. “We cross-promote and have signs in their drive-thru stating that we have a Chick-fil-A inside the dealership and we have people come by because of that sign and check it out.”
“It’s all about serving the customer and making it convenient for them,” she said.
Edmunds says: This dealership uses convenient food service to take a bite out of the competition.
