Black Friday Car Sales Kick Off Holiday Shopping Season
SANTA MONICA, California – The busiest shopping day of the year isn’t just limited to malls and online retailers. Consumers looking for a new vehicle will find some attractive bargains as car dealerships kick off the holiday shopping season with a variety of Black Friday promotions.
For example, the Buick Black Friday Sales Event offers up to $8,000 cash back on the purchase of 2015 models like the LaCrosse, Regal and Verano sedans and the Enclave SUV. Buick is also featuring a $175 per month lease deal, with just $175 down, on the 2015 Encore compact SUV.
With the Chevrolet Black Friday All Month Long promotion, shoppers will find 20 percent cash-back deals on such 2015 model-year vehicles as the Cruze, Impala and Malibu sedans, as well as the Camaro SS sport coupe. Those in the market for a new truck might be interested in zero-percent financing for 72 months on a 2015 Silverado 1500 pickup.
The GMC Black Friday Sales Event is advertising 15 percent cash back on select 2015 models, like the Sierra 1500 pickup and the Acadia and Terrain SUVs.
Mopar fans should check out the Chrysler Black Friday Blockbuster Sales Event, which offers zero-percent financing for 75 months on select vehicles, including the 2016 Chrysler 200 and 2015 Chrysler 300 sedans and the 2015 Town and Country minivan.
At Dodge’s Black Friday Blockbuster Sales Event, shoppers will find various combinations of zero-percent financing and cash-back deals available on such models as the 2015 Charger sedan and the 2015 Grand Caravan minivan.
Nissan’s Black Friday Holiday Event offers up to $1,000 in bonus cash on select 2015 models, including the Altima, Sentra and Versa sedans, Juke hatchback, Rogue compact SUV and the Titan pickup.
Other timely sales promotions include the Season of Audi Sales Event, in which shoppers will find such bargains as a $750-$2,500 bonus on the lease of models that include the 2016 A3, A4, A5 or A6 sedans and coupes and the Q5 SUV.
The Unwrap a Jaguar Sales Event advertises special lease and finance offers, plus up to $2,500 holiday credit, on select models. Examples include the choice of lease deals or 1.9 percent financing on the 2016 XF Premium sedan, the 2015 XJ sedan, as well as special lease pricing on the 2016 F-Type sports model.
As previously reported by Edmunds, Ford’s Friends & Neighbors Pricing Event is in full swing, featuring what the automaker calls “an inside deal, now for everyone.” The percentage of discount varies by model, but the amount is the same as that of the company’s X-Plan program, which is offered to suppliers and other business associates and takes pricing very close to dealer invoice levels.
With the Volkswagen Sign Then Drive Event consumers can take advantage of a $1,000 bonus for switching from another brand, then get a lease with zero down, zero security deposit and zero first month’s payment on 2016 models like the Jetta, Passat and CC sedans, the Beetle and Golf compacts and the Tiguan SUV.
Note that these are limited-time offers, some apply only to the oldest vehicles currently in stock, and some are available only to existing customers. Also, offers can vary according to geographic area, trim level of the vehicle, the customer’s credit rating and specific lease or financing terms.
Edmunds says: Wise car shoppers will skip the mall on Black Friday and visit their local dealership, instead. It may be one of the best days of the year to buy or lease a new vehicle.
