LOS ANGELES – The new 2016 Nissan Sentra compact sedan and the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback are among the 50 global and North American vehicle debuts set for the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, organizers said on Wednesday.
Key confirmed vehicle debuts also include the all-new Buick LaCrosse sedan, a convertible version of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque and the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SUV.
Ford, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, Volvo and Volkswagen also will feature global debuts at the November show, but are keeping the details a secret at this point.
Scion will introduce a concept car, “which shows the company’s design direction for a new iconic vehicle,” organizers said.
Volvo and Hyundai are expected to make technology news. More than 40 exhibitors will display new car technologies aimed at safety and connectivity.
“This year’s news comes from many sources and it’s fascinating to witness the dramatic and swift changes transforming the automotive business,” said L.A. show President Lisa Kaz in a statement. “With all the new opportunities arising so rapidly in the automotive industry, we expect this year’s event to be the most exciting yet.”
The show kicks off with the Connected Car Expo on November 17, followed by media days on November 18-19. It will be open to the public on November 20-29.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers will get an eye-popping preview of what is on the way to dealer showrooms at this critically important auto show.
