TORRANCE, California – The updated 2016 Lexus LX 570 flagship SUV is on sale now at Lexus dealerships starting at $89,820, including a $940 destination charge.
The 2016 LX 570 is $5,700 more expensive than the 2015 model.
Major changes include a new eight-speed automatic transmission and a redesigned exterior.
Other enhancements to the 2016 LX 570 include more standard safety features, an upgraded multimedia system with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and a panoramic-view camera.
The eight-passenger LX 570 is equipped with a carryover 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 383 horsepower and 403 pound-feet of torque. The new eight-speed automatic transmission replaces the previous six-speed automatic.
Key LX 570 competitors include the Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Infiniti QX80 and Lincoln Navigator.
Edmunds says: Luxury shoppers will see a substantial price increase on the 2016 LX 570, but some major improvements to justify the expense.
