IRVINE, California – The 2016 Kia K900 flagship sedan gets an all-new 3.8-liter V6 engine and a new lower starting price of $49,950, Kia Motors America said this week.
The price includes a $950 destination charge.
The 2016 K900 is available in three new trim levels: base V6 Premium, V6 Luxury and V8 Luxury. It is expected to arrive soon at Kia dealerships.
The 2016 V6 Luxury is priced at $55,850, while the top-of-the-line V8 Luxury starts at $62,850. Prices include shipping.
In comparison, the 2015 K900 with a V8 engine starts at $55,400, including a $900 destination charge.
Standard equipment on the base 2016 K900 includes a navigation system, leather seating and a panoramic sunroof.
The K900 gets a mild freshening for the new model year, including 18-inch wheels for the V6 model and new 19-inch wheels for the V8 model. Other exterior upgrades include a revised grille and a rear-end design with updated chrome trim, exhaust pipes and a new bumper.
A $5,000 VIP package adds a long list of items, including autonomous emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert and a 16-way adjustable driver seat.
Key K900 competitors include the Mercedes-Benz S550 and Lexus LS 460.
