AUBURN HILLS, Michigan – Dodge dealers will begin taking orders this month for the new $995 performance exterior stripes for the 2016 Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models.
The stripe package is designed to “add even more Dodge attitude,” the automaker said.
The full-length body stripes are finished with a carbon-fiber pattern and cover the front and rear fascias, roof and deck lid.
Dodge also said that due to customer demand, it is also extending the run of the limited-edition Plum Crazy exterior paint for the cars.
Dealers will be able to continue ordering the special color through January.
Other exterior color choices include Redline Red, Jazz Blue Pearl Coat and TorRed Clear Coat.
All of these cosmetic touches – as well as the 707-horsepower supercharged Hemi Hellcat V8 engine – are designed to set the Hellcat models apart from their rivals.
Key competitors to the Challenger SRT Hellcat include the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Shelby GT350.
The Charger SRT Hellcat’s competitors include the Cadillac CTS-V and Chevrolet SS.
Edmunds says: See your Dodge dealer now if you want to go Plum Crazy with your Hellcat.
