DETROIT – The all-new 2016 Cadillac CT6 flagship sedan arrives at Cadillac dealerships in March, starting at $54,490, including a $995 destination charge.
Car shoppers can place orders now with dealers, Cadillac said on Monday.
The new Cadillac flagship, which is positioned above the current Cadillac CTS, is designed to redefine the traditional American luxury sedan, according to the automaker.
The base CT6 is equipped with a 265-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. All CT6 engines are linked to eight-speed automatic transmissions.
The top-of-the-line 2016 CT6 Platinum model is priced at $84,460, including shipping.
The 335-hp CT6 3.6-liter V6 model with all-wheel drive starts at $56,490, including shipping.
The 400-hp CT6 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 model with all-wheel drive starts at $65,390, including shipping.
Pricing was not announced on the CT6 Plug-in Hybrid model. Cadillac said details on that model will be announced closer to launch.
Offering a range of technology systems and luxury amenities, the CT6 takes aim at its German competitors, including the Audi A8, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Porsche Panamera.
Edmunds says: Value-minded luxury shoppers will find that the new Cadillac CT6 undercuts much of the competition.
