WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey – BMW dealers next year will offer a range of BMW M Performance parts for the new 2016 BMW M2 Coupe. The automaker previewed the parts this week at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
The 2016 BMW M4 Coupe will also receive M Performance parts beginning this January.
To enhance the M2 Coupe’s exterior, the M Performance parts catalog includes black gloss grilles and side gills, a carbon-fiber spoiler and mirror caps, and a sport exhaust with carbon-fiber tailpipe trim.
Interior components include stainless-steel pedal covers, carbon-fiber center console and a steering wheel trimmed in Alcantara and carbon fiber.
The performance parts are designed to help the M2 stand out against competitors including the Audi TTS, Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG and Porsche Cayman.
M Performance exterior parts for the M4 Coupe include similar components, as well as a carbon-fiber diffuser and through-flow spoiler, racing stripes and polyurethane side sill attachments. The cabin can be spruced up with similar carbon fiber and Alcantara trim.
Edmunds says: Customization is going to be a key part of the experience for BMW M2 and M4 buyers.
