2012-’14 Bentley Continental GT, 2015 Continental GTC Recalled for Fire Risk

WASHINGTON – Bentley Motors is recalling 7,778 vehicles in the U.S., including the 2012-’14 Bentley Continental GT coupe and Continental GTC coupe for a fire risk, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall also includes the 2012-’14 Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
“In the affected vehicles, a battery cable connection may be loose at the firewall,” said NHTSA in its recall summary. “A loose battery cable may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.”
Bentley told federal safety regulators there are no deaths or injuries linked to the recall.
Bentley dealers will replace the battery-cable securing nut. The recall is expected to begin in November. Owners can contact Bentley customer service at 1-800-777-6923.
Edmunds says: Owners of these cars should be in touch with their Bentley dealer to schedule a service appointment.
