IRVINE, California – Mazda dealerships are getting a makeover that promises to give car shoppers a more premium experience as they consider a lineup that includes the 2016 Mazda CX-3 and Mazda MX-5 Miata.
The new look, which features an open floor plan, digital displays and the generous use of wood and metal, was unveiled on Thursday.
A key design element in showrooms is the use of more glass, “allowing customers a transparent view into the dealership operations,” the company said.
There will be multiple charging stations for personal devices and access to free Wi-Fi.
The “Retail Evolution” dealership design will first roll out at Mazda of Everett in Seattle, Washington.
“Retail Evolution embodies the spirit and direction of the Mazda brand, while offering an upscale experience our customers expect and deserve,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO of Mazda North American Operations, in a statement.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers should get set for some pampering as many Mazda dealerships get ready to spruce up their look and feel.
