Lincoln Automotive Financial Services Rolls Out Complimentary Identify Theft Protection Package
DEARBORN, Michigan – Consumers who buy or lease a new Lincoln from Lincoln Automotive Financial Services will be offered a complimentary protection package that guards against identity theft.
The coverage lasts for two or three years, depending on the financing terms, and includes up to $1 million in identity theft insurance coverage with no deductible.
It also includes around-the-clock credit monitoring and activity alerts, along with a dedicated identity-restoration specialist to help clients restore their identities.
“This complimentary protection will alert our clients to activity affecting their credit and will help them restore their identity if it is compromised,” said Krista Conyers, Lincoln Automotive Financial Services director of marketing, in a statement on Monday.
The coverage is aimed at car shoppers considering such Lincoln vehicles as the 2016 Lincoln MKX and Lincoln Navigator SUVs.
Identity theft was responsible for 13 percent of overall consumer complaints to the Federal Trade Commission in 2014, making it the top complaint category for that year.
