2016 Subaru BRZ and WRX STI Series. HyperBlue Roar Into Dealerships This Fall
CHERRY HILL, New Jersey – The 2016 Subaru BRZ and WRX STI Series.HyperBlue limited edition cars, decked out in exclusive Hyper Blue exterior paint and interior trim, will arrive at Subaru dealerships this fall, the automaker announced late last week.
The 2016 BRZ Series.HyperBlue coupe with a six-speed manual transmission is priced at $28,485, including a $795 destination charge.
In comparison, the base 2016 BRZ Premium with a six-speed manual transmission starts at $26,190, including shipping.
The 2016 WRX STI Series.HyperBlue sedan with a six-speed manual transmission is priced at $39,790, including shipping.
In comparison, the base 2016 WRX STI with a six-speed manual transmission starts at $35,490, including shipping.
The production run will be limited to 700 WRX STI and 500 BRZ models, Subaru of America said.
Details on the WRX STI Series.HyperBlue include Hyper Blue stitching on the seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, manual transmission shifter boot and console, along with carpeted floor mats with the Cherry Red STI logo. Exterior cues include 18-inch BBS black alloy wheels and black exterior badging and mirrors.
The Subaru Starlink 7.0 multimedia navigation system is standard on the WRX STI Series.HyperBlue.
The BRZ Series.HyperBlue includes 17-inch black alloy wheels, black exterior badging and mirrors. The cabin gets Hyper Blue stitching accents.
Key Subaru BRZ competitors include the Honda Civic Si coupe, Hyundai Genesis coupe and Scion FR-S.
The Subaru WRX STI competes with the Honda Civic Si sedan and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
