WASHINGTON – The 2016 Hyundai Accent compact sedan and hatchback earned a four-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Five stars is the highest rating.
On sale now at Hyundai dealerships, the 2016 Accent sedan and hatchback received four stars in the front, side and rollover crash tests.
These are carryover models with minimal changes for the new model year.
Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control and antilock brakes.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2016 Accent.
Key Accent rivals include the Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.
