2016 Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition Celebrates 007

GAYDON, England – The new 2016 Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition is available to order now at Aston Martin dealerships in the U.S., just ahead of the debut of the new Bond film Spectre.

Production will be limited to 150 cars.

U.S. pricing starts at $239,832, including a $2,825 destination charge and $1,700 gas-guzzler tax, according to Aston Martin.

Details include a unique Spectre Silver exterior paint treatment, sterling silver Aston Martin badges and “007 Bond Edition” exterior badging.

Gun-barrel embroidery on the rear seat and a special Bond Edition start-up screen are designed to make owners feel like a master spy.

The special model is equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that delivers 540 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. The engine is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. The car has a top speed of 183 mph and sprints from zero to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Buyers also receive a Globe-Trotter suitcase and a special Omega watch.

Aston Martin created the DB10 exclusively for James Bond to drive in Spectre. It is the first time an entirely new car has been created for the British secret agent.

Of course, Aston Martins are fixtures in the Bond movies and are considered to be among the best Bond movie cars.

The 50-year association between the British marque and the movie franchise includes the Aston Martin V8 Vantage in The Living Daylights and the Aston Martin DB5 in Goldfinger.
